Tantalising offer

Hi Bee,
You said you had ideas to share - I’m intrigued. There seems to be little happening in this Flickr forum. Is that because we are feeling overloaded or like me, a bit behind?
I’m frustrated because I discovered today that in my computer lab at work we can’t access Voice Thread until we download the latest Flash or whatever. It makes me realise that the simpler the technology the better. Hence my interest in Flickr, although maybe I should have checked again that that is accessible at work.
Looking forward to your ideas,
Karen

Hi Karen
You address Bee (and I’m sure she’ll give you a few of her ideas!) but I wanted to console you a bit until then.
The issues we all have at the computer, with the internet and in general as a result of time are ones we all face. I guess if we want to encorporate technology in our teaching (and lives) we’ll just have to embrace it.
But it doesn’t have to be all negative. The session yesterday with Wayne began with problems, and yet it was a bit of time for us all to socialize. I wonder if there are other ways of embracing the problems. This is certainly a new way of looking at things :-)

There is a whole bunch of Flickerites uploading their photos, commenting and discovering how to use the environement in the Dekita group on Flickr.
You may find them inside the pool or by using the smielt08 tag.
Bee - I’ve just been into the Dekita group in Flickr, and I didn’t see any comments on photos, or any discussion by smielt people. I’ve left comments for one or two people myself, and sent a couple of Flickr-emails. I’m out of play for the next day or two - I’ll pick it up again later.

Michael, I did write a comment in one of your photos. The one in which you don’t look like a teacher.
