Let's Play

These next two weeks will be slow time, open space for reading, fun and play, creativity, food for thought and hopefully there is some energy left for action.

Charles Cameron is back with us and has already laid out the rules of the game and drawn the first board.

We will also be having a closer look at Voice Thread and Community Walk and see how we can use them integrating the different tools we have got acquainted with before. We could maybe write a key word in Flickr CC to find the tag which expresses the beginning of a collective dialogue in Voice Thread about one of the 43 wishes and desires. You could use a wiki to lay out the collaborative plan, narrative and rehearsal. Or maybe we could add ourselves to the SMiELT Community Map, (you need to be logged in) and choose one of the many places around the world we have connections to or dream of going, describe it or narrate an experience and comment on each other’s choices.

Give wings to your imagination! Contact other participants through Twitter using the SMiELT08 Twemes .

I am sure the Hipbone Game will also help you extend your creativity but remember to read the rules this time. For freedom and creativity to occur you need constraints - in order for improvisation to happen fluidly, lots of repetition and rehearsals have taken place.

Hi Bee!

I have just joint Smielt twemes…I tried to discover how to create a new tweme for my students but didn’t succeed, can you give me some tips? Thanks so much for all…

Hi Laura,

The question was discussed in the Microblogging forum.

You need to have an account on Twitter and just use a # + whatever tag you have decided to use for your group. It will automatically appear on twemes.com (remember your updates must be unprotected).

thanks a lot!
