I think that a hero is an adventurer, a combatant and an exemplar. He is a great person who helps the people. A rebel is a resistant, a revolutionary and a rebellious person, who like a teenager disobeys the established rules. With these definitions we can see that hero is defined in a positive [...]

  • Christiane F. Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo

Posted: November 14th, 2009, 10:46am GMT by missviki

This weekend I watched the movie “Christiane F. Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo”(1981) which is a true story based on Christiane Felscherinow`s life . This story is all about her experimenting drugs at the age of 12  to fit in a group of old friends .At 14 she was addicted to heroin and worked as a prostitute in the Bahnhof Zoo(it`s a Berlin train station) .

The story is so tragic and sad and made me aware how easy it is to become attracted to the “glamorous” side of drugs when you are young.I enjoyed that movie because I found it very interesting to see how teenagers can live like that and I thought drugs were disgusting and I`d never want to do anything with it .

The movie is absolutely brilliant, it captures the atmosphere of being young really well: wanting to wear your mother’s heels, going to gigs for the first time, wanting to have big boobs as your friend and falling in love with guys who treat you like shit.

Last Tuesday, my class and I had to present to the 3èmes  a powerpoint explaining about some drugs .My group talked about the cannabis which lots of people have taken once or twice .

In my opinion, it went very well, we weren`t forcing them to not take the drugs, we let them know about it and it`s their choice whether the want to take it or not .

  • To be or not to be ?

Posted: October 15th, 2009, 6:47pm GMT by missviki

“To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: ’tis a consummation
    Devoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th’oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely,
The pangs of dispriz’d love, the law’s delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th’unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere’d country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o’er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.”

    William Shakespeare .

Do you really have to destroy every little memory of when it was you and me ? Don’t you feel sorry deep inside for the decisions we have made ? Have you ever truly loved me ? Do you think we can leave the past behind and live our love ? Why making me cry makes you so damn happy ?
Maybe I should just say get lost, but I wouldn’t mean it .Do you think we shall live our happy story with pirates and princesses, with frogs and white horses, with you and me together ?
Or perhaps our friendship will end because we were too foolish .
We had ups and downs, moments of happiness that I’ll always keep inside my heart like the day we’ve met .
I think my life will be incomplete without you by my side .I never loved someone like I love you. I can kiss thousands of guys but none of them will be like you .It sounds lame, but true .
If I could I would make a machine to go back on time, just to be with you .
My heart founds his place with yours, but you might be too childish to understand .
When we played under the rain together and you won the play, but I didn’t care because I had you there .
